Error: ConnectWise Tax Group supplied for '' does not match the tax codes in Xero

How can this happen?

  • Tax code used in ConnectWise Manage does not match the existing tax codes in Xero.
  • Tax code has been archived (deleted in Xero) and was recreated using the exact name resulting in duplicate records.


If the Tax Code Name is different then you can either:

  1. Change the Tax Code to an existing Tax Code
  2. Create a new Tax Code

If the Tax Code Name is exactly the same, there might be an archived tax code in Xero with the same name:

  1. Rename the active tax code both in ConnectWise Manage and Xero then Re-sync.
